Porsche is revising the equipment mix of its all-electric Macan for the new model year, introducing an Advanced Package that combines popular options and adding more driver-assistance and charging equipment to the standard specification. The automaker details the changes in its official announcement, which also sets out the market-specific pricing available in Germany.
A package built around popular options
The Advanced Package is available for the Macan, Macan 4 and Macan 4S. Porsche has grouped together equipment covering the exterior, cabin, chassis and driving assistance, giving buyers a single package instead of selecting each item separately.
The exterior equipment includes the panoramic roof system, Matrix LED headlights, automatically dimming interior and exterior mirrors, and an exterior paint colour from Porsche’s Shades or Contrasts palettes. Inside, the package adds 14-way electrically adjustable Comfort seats, a black leather package and the Bose Surround Sound System.
Power Steering Plus and adaptive air suspension are also included. The suspension package features levelling, height adjustment and Porsche Active Suspension Management, giving the Macan a broader equipment specification without changing the basic electric powertrain described in the announcement.
German pricing is clearly defined
For customers in Germany, Porsche lists the Advanced Package at €5,990.46 including VAT for the Macan and Macan 4. The price for the Macan 4S is €5,299.07 including VAT. Porsche says the package can represent savings of up to 45 per cent compared with ordering the included options individually.
Those figures should not be treated as a global price list. The announcement provides German pricing, while equipment availability and transaction prices can vary between markets. Buyers elsewhere will need to confirm the package content and local price with Porsche before placing an order.
More equipment becomes standard
The update also changes the standard specification of the all-electric SUV. Adaptive cruise control is now included, as is Automated Parking with 2D Surround View. The system can identify suitable spaces between or in front of objects and control parking manoeuvres for parallel and perpendicular spaces, as well as manoeuvring out of parallel spaces.
Remote Park Assist remains an option. Porsche says the function allows parking manoeuvres to be controlled from a smartphone, which separates it from the standard Automated Parking system fitted to the updated Macan specification.
The wireless smartphone charging compartment also gains more output, rising to up to 25 watts from 15 watts. That increase concerns the phone-charging system inside the vehicle; it is not a change to the Macan’s high-voltage battery charging rate.
22 kW AC charging for the sportier versions
The clearest electric-mobility change concerns the onboard AC charger. Porsche is making a 22 kW onboard charger standard on the Macan GTS and Macan Turbo. At a compatible wallbox or public AC charging point, that gives those versions access to a higher maximum AC input than the other models when the installation can supply it.
The Macan, Macan 4 and Macan 4S retain an 11 kW maximum as standard, with the 22 kW charger available as an option. Porsche states that all Macan models can charge at up to 270 kW at suitable DC fast-charging points. Actual charging performance will still depend on the charger, the vehicle’s battery temperature and state of charge, and the conditions at the charging site.
For owners who mostly charge overnight at home, the difference between 11 kW and 22 kW may have limited practical importance. For drivers using compatible high-power AC infrastructure during longer stops, the higher onboard limit can make the GTS and Turbo versions easier to top up quickly, provided the charging point and local electrical supply support it.
What the update means for Macan buyers
This is primarily an equipment and user-experience update rather than a new Macan generation. Porsche is combining comfort features, chassis hardware, parking assistance, smartphone integration and charging capability in a way that should make the ordering process easier to compare across versions.
The package is most relevant to buyers who would already have selected several of the bundled options. For them, Porsche’s stated saving could reduce the cost of assembling a similarly equipped vehicle in Germany. Buyers who want a simpler specification may also benefit from the newly standard assistance features, while the 22 kW charger gives the GTS and Turbo a more capable AC charging setup.
The announcement does not replace the need to check a local configurator. Package prices, standard equipment, option availability and charging hardware can differ by market. The confirmed takeaway is narrower but useful: Porsche is expanding the electric Macan’s equipment for the new model year, with a bundled option package for three versions and standard 22 kW AC charging for the GTS and Turbo.
