Honda is adding three electric power units to its eGX series: the GXE4.0D, GXE6.0D and GXE9.0D. In a June 15, 2026 newsroom announcement, the company said the models are intended for supply to equipment-manufacturer customers. The update places the three units together as a new addition to Honda’s eGX electric-power-unit lineup, with their names, output levels and energy source identified in the announcement.

Honda lists a distinct maximum motor output for each model. The GXE4.0D is listed with 3.7 kW, the GXE6.0D with 6.0 kW and the GXE9.0D with 8.7 kW. Read as a group, the figures form a stepped range across the three models. The GXE4.0D carries the lowest stated maximum, followed by the GXE6.0D and then the GXE9.0D. These are the maximum outputs Honda identifies for the units in its June release.

The planned supply schedule begins in autumn 2026. Honda says it will start with Japan, then move progressively into Europe and the United States. The timing and order apply to the three models as a group in the announcement. That gives equipment manufacturers a defined first market and a stated sequence for the next regions, while keeping the update focused on the planned supply of the newly announced units.

The three units share the same stated energy source: Honda Mobile Power Pack e: interchangeable battery. Honda explains that continued use is possible by replacing a depleted battery with a pre-charged one. The mechanism is therefore part of the common description of the GXE4.0D, GXE6.0D and GXE9.0D, alongside their different maximum motor outputs.

Honda also says all three models use motor components developed for its electric motorcycles. This connects the newly announced equipment power units with components developed in Honda’s electric-motorcycle work, according to the company. It is a shared characteristic across the three model names, just as the Mobile Power Pack e: battery is shared across them.

Honda’s announcement presents a compact but clear expansion of eGX: three models, three maximum output levels, a common interchangeable-battery source and motor components developed for electric motorcycles. The next milestone it identifies is the start of supply to equipment-manufacturer customers in Japan in autumn 2026, followed by progressive supply in Europe and the United States.
